Asura Novels Beta, New Features, and Asura+ Upgrades
Hi everyone,
It has been a while since our last major update, so we wanted to go over everything notable that has recently been added to Asura.

Asura Novels Is Now in Beta
We have officially launched Asura Novels in beta while we test the feature, resolve any remaining issues, and prepare for the full public launch.
The beta is currently available to Asura+ Basic & Premium members and is enabled automatically. For those who do not wish to participate can disable beta features from their account settings.
You can switch between Comics and Novels directly from the main navigation bar. The novels section is completely separate from comics, allowing you to browse, bookmark, and read all your novels in one dedicated place.

All of these novels are currently ahead of where their manhwa adaptations left off, and more titles will be added over time.
Novel Chapter Pricing
Nearly every chapter is free to read, with only the latest 50 chapters locked using the site’s currency. We have kept both the number of locked chapters and the price per chapter lower than most other translated-novel platforms, and we hope to reduce prices further as the platform grows.
The Asura Novel Reader
We kept the reader simple and easy to use while making sure its core features were polished.

Text-to-Speech
The reader also includes high-quality text-to-speech voices, providing smoother and more natural narration than the standard voices built into most devices and operating systems.
Features Now Available to Everyone
Several features that were previously limited to Asura+ members are now available to all users.
Unlimited Bookmarks
Bookmarks are now unlimited on every account.
On the previous site, bookmarks were stored inefficiently, which meant features such as unlimited bookmarks had to be restricted to subscribers. Higher-quality images were also previously limited for similar infrastructure-related reasons, though that restriction was removed after we moved to the new site.
The new site handles bookmarks much more efficiently, allowing us to remove the limit entirely.
Community Image Uploads
All users can now upload images from our approved community collection.
We have spent considerable time building and moderating this collection, with every submitted image reviewed individually. The collection is now large enough to be opened to the entire community.
Other Features Released
Here are some of the other notable additions released since our previous update:
- • Offline reading: Asura+ Premium members can download and read entire series through the offline reader on Asura.gg without an internet connection.
- • User blocking: You can now block users directly from the options menu beneath their comments.
- • Completed novel eBooks: You can read completed novels for your favorite manhwa for extremely cheap at asurascans.com/ebooks.
