Reading your downloads offline
When you download a series from Asura, you get a single .asura file. Here's how to open it and read anywhere, with no connection needed, in our Asura Offline app.
Step by step
Download a series
On any series page, tap Download. The whole series saves to your device as one .asura file. Large series can take a moment.
Open the Asura Offline app
Go to asura.gg and install it (one tap, steps below). The .asura file only opens here.
Add your file
In the app, tap + Add and pick the file you downloaded. It's saved into your library, right on your device.
Read anywhere, offline
Open the series and read on a plane, the subway, anywhere with no signal. Your spot is remembered, and you can set a reading status per series.
Installing the app (one time)
The app guides you through this the first time you open asura.gg.
iPhone / iPad
In Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
Android
Open the browser menu → Add to Home screen (or tap the install prompt).
Desktop
In Chrome / Edge, click the install icon in the address bar.
Tips & common questions
Where are my downloads stored?
On your own device, inside the app. Nothing is kept on a server. Make sure you have enough free space for big series.
Can I read with no internet at all?
Yes. Once a series is added to the app, it works completely offline, including reopening the app.
My file won't open / says it's too big
Make sure you downloaded the full file and have enough free storage. If it was interrupted, delete it and download again.
How do I remove a series?
Tap the pencil on a series in your library and choose remove. That frees up the space it was using.
